Hey!

So that was fun to talk with everyone. It is a bit weird, I’m not going to lie. It was SUPER cool to hear Ellie talk. Hah, cheese. I just got your letters today on our way to e-mail so I skimmed through them but don't remember any questions you might have asked. There is a lot of extra stuff in many of the apartments and no one uses them so when I leave I keep some stuff. Don't have to buy anything, that's always a plus. Random question: If you can search, there is a really bright star here and I’m pretty sure it is a planet but I want to know which one it is so if you could somehow find out that would be sweet. Things went well here for Christmas and all. The work continues. I can't think of anything that really happened recently to say. Transfers and not this Wednesday but the next. Crazy! There really is no such thing as time here. What's going down for the New Year there?

Ustedes van a estar borrachos esa noche, verdad? Hah, chiste. El otro dia enseñamos una leccion en español y ingles porque la mitad de la familia habla ingles y el otro hombre habla español, entonces era divertido pero un poco loco. We are going to have a ward dinner Wednesday at eight then we have to leave and they are going to have a dance and stay up for the new years. I really could care less, I’d rather sleep anyways. Yeah for the New Year!.....alright I’m done, that's checked off the list. Until next year.

Well have fun and remember not to party like the Hispanics and waste yourselves with beer. It's funny because they can't pay for a phone yet they go out and buy beer all the time. Hah I truly am sick of smelling beer and having wasted guys come up to you and pour their souls out to you wanting to change. We just mess with them for a little and then send them away with a card. The best is when they are riding bikes at the same time. Anyways, have fun and talk to you next year!

Hey!

So I am e-mailing today because the library probably is going to be closed tomorrow so President told us to do it today.

I don't remember if I already asked but is the swimming merit badge required? I'm pretty positive it is, right? I'm debating against another "Utah'n" here, Elder Morey. Our Christmas zone conference was pretty awesome and fun. We did a skit that the hermanas in our district made. Us Elders had to act it out while they read it. It was called "The Night before Transfers". It was pretty funny. I don't say much when I write because I hate writing/typing and at the same time I love playing sports so of course if I have to decide I’m going to pick the sports. Our branch had a "Pastorela"/"Posada" thing. A ward activity. A dinner, games, pinatas, nativity (where we were the Shepards). It was fun. So on Sunday it was super cold! With wind chill it was (-30*)! Crazy! It is snowing today and we have about 1/2 to a foot of snow.

I found out that the familia Acosta was baptized. I don't know if I ever told you about them. They have been investigating for a long time and they found us (Elder Stuart and I) on the street after moving into our area (Hermosa Park), so we began to teach them. They were doing well, some crazy stories with them when I was there. I can tell you over the phone if you want, but I found out that they were baptized the end of November. Super cool. I can't believe how fast time is flying by! I hate it! I just hit my year mark and now I’m almost a month past that. I'm not looking forward to things because I’ve heard that the time after your year mark goes by faster than anything. I guess that's why Presidente Monson told us to live each day to the fullest and not pile empty ones up.

Well, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE TOMORROW! About calling, I probably will be calling about 7-9 o'clock our time so about 5-7 your time. So it's not taking the precious volleyball time from you Abbie.lol If you still have it. The thing that is going to humble me the most is hearing Ellie speak, that is going to be awesome. I did send some things out to everyone. A little late, but coming. It's not too good. I also forgot to send something but I’ll try to send it as soon as possible. (for Ellie and Jenna) wink wink. Anyways, hope all is well and I’ll talk to y'all soon.

Hey!

So responding to last week: Did you do a back-flip off the stage mom? That would have been sweet! I didn't really do anything to celebrate my 1-year anniversary, pretty lame. We have gotten a lot of snow recently and I have been white-knuckles recently cause President wanted Elder Morey to learn how to drive a car before he goes home and it has been crazy so far in the snow with him driving. We just got about a half-foot of snow yesterday. A couple of Sundays ago it got down to 4 degrees. Many Hispanics are moving back to Mexico cause of the economy and things going on. Tons are struggling. We had 5 people at church two weeks in a row and one couple basically said they want to be baptized. Another friend of a member girl basically is going to as well. We just have to give them baptismal dates. Thanks fro Brian and Daniels mission letters. It is crazy to read them and imagine them at the same time as me.

We have our special Christmas zone conference tomorrow and it is going to be fun. I’m stoked. We have many good investigators. One went to Salt Lake City and loved the church displays and all and is basically eating up the lessons. Yesterday we watched "Joy to the World" with them and she loved seeing the Salt Lake stuff again and piece everything together. I received one package so far just to let you know. I'll probably get the rest at zone conference. Well have fun and talk to ya soon!

Hey no time to write today sorry. Played football in the snow and ended up the wettest and had blood running down my legs from cuts of ice. A lot of road rash burns from the ice as well all over my arms. Ahh, Great times. It was pretty fun. Sounded like things were good at graduation and everything else. I'll try to write more next time.
Have fun! Later!

Hey!

So my heart was ripped out just barely to hear that Elder Wirthlin passed away. I've been reading the Conference Ensign in studies for awhile and had a feeling to read his today. It was my favorite talk and he was probably my favorite apostle. He relates and seems like my kind-of thought when I read his talks. He was such a stud!

I’ll hit a year this week and it is SUPER crazy! I don't know where the time went. Everything’s well here and some stuff has happened. Don't have much time right now but I just emailed a little to Brian so you can ask him about companion and simple things like that.

So for one story of the week. Agustin, the one I said was super cool and funny, is moving back to Mexico for a little while. We were pretty bumbed out. We got pictures though. In "Testaments" where they speak a different language, it is basically representing the language back then right. Agustin and the other guys in the house are from Mexico, but Spanish isn't their first language. They had to learn it here in schools. But their language is called Tarasco and basically is the original language of the Mayans and Aztecs! They taught us a little. It was crazy because one day they just started talking back and forth to each other in it and my companion and I looked at each other like "what?" Have a good time! Later!

Hey!

We are really not doing anything for Thanksgiving. We have had many offers from investigators/members but not sure yet.

So guess what, I was made AP! NO, not true, me and my companion are staying. I think it is good, things are picking up here and last Sunday when I talked we had 7-8 investigators at church! About as many members there are in the branch. lol

Things are well here, learning many languages. Basically a new one everyday. I can’t believe I am already almost at a year. CRAZY! Have a fun/fat thanksgiving and tell everyone the same!

Hey,

Thanks for the conference ensign, I love studying from it.

So stories or things that have happened... Well the other day we ended up going in a guys apartment and taught him and come to find out he was one of the top-dogs in the Mexican mafia. He told us stories of switching lives from making $30,000 a weekend to struggling financially and how he left it cause he didn't want to be a part of it. He is the REAL DEAL! It is pretty crazy! He is cool though and was really interested in the Book of Mormon. We are going back tomorrow.

We went to eat at one of our investigators house because it was their birthday and their son put on a white shirt, dark pants and church dress shoes, and told his parents that he was "los hermanos". It was pretty funny. He is about 6 years old I think.

Our clases de ingles went well and hopefully they go well tonight. WE had a lot of success, and some are interested in the church.

It is crazy to think how I could talk with people from India and then they take it over there and spread it across the world. It is CRAZY diverse here!

Thanks for everything!
Later!

Si o no? Si no, hay! Porque hay una cosa bien importante en este parafo. No, no es cierto. Adios!

Hey!

So I guessed right on Andrew. So now he is in the Spanish-speaking club. Tell Andrew he's the Man! As for elections....I could care less, I’m sorry to say. Even though stuff was in Chicago I haven’t heard anything. I truthfully was not even thinking of elections and had no clue what was happening.

We just received a new ward mission leader and elders quorum presidency and a new second counselor in the branch presidency and he has only been a member for about 6 months. A lot of new changes and our new ward mission leader is crazy, white (gringo), his wife is Hispanic, he speaks Spanish. I really like it here but not excited for the cold or adjustments. Did you find my apartment? it is the side on the inside with the big lot in the middle. I don't remember if I told you last time but say hi to Bro. Summers for me.

Investigators are good, we’re finding more and some of them are super awesome to be around and are fun to talk with, like friends. We are starting clases de ingles today to teach them and as a way to get people interested in the church cause we are doing the clases in the church. We have gotten many calls to go, enfonces ojala que muchos puedan venir y aprendan de la iglesia.
estoy mejorando mi habilidad de lazar. Ahora me encanta lazar. Como le fue su noche de brujas y las actividades en la iglesia? Pueden entender lo que estoy diciendoles? Todavia me falta mucho con espanol. Espero que todo este bien! hasta luego!

Hey!
So my address is 6733 HICKORY ST. #12, HANOVER PARK, IL 60133. I can't write much but I will next week. Everything’s fine and my borders are Gary RD. to Ingalton RD.(E>W) and Golf RD. to North Ave.(N>S). We have quite a few investigators and I am loving it here so far. Good luck with everything! Later!

Wednesday, October 15, 2008

Hey!
So I got transferred again already. I am now out of the city! My area is called Bloomingdale west(I think). I now have a car and am pretty happy about that but a little nervous with the winter coming. I think I will begin driving because my companion is not the best driver. But yah, it seems like a really cool area, definitely different by far than the city. More space, richer people, greener, civilized, and I actually feel like I’m not living in Hispanic Ville. I don't know if that is good or bad. Yesterday, the last day of the transfer, we finally found an investigator and had a good lesson. This ladies husband died about 3 months ago and she seems alright about the plan of salvation. I kind-of feel like she will progress quickly but now that's for Wrigley Ville to do. I am out of there. Things are different here but things are well. I feel like I will stay here awhile, but I think I said that last transfer also. I am now in the same zone as Elder Call, who was in Elder Bakers district in the MTC, so we'll have a good time. How's the ward? Members doing their missionary work? In stake conference, President Stoddard gave everyone the homework to read ch.3 in PMG, so it was fun visiting with the members and checking up on their homework if they did it or not. Members don't do missionary work because they are afraid mainly because they don't feel like they are not prepared. President Stoddard told them that if you they read ch.3 they will be prepared and the work will be easier and progress. Elder Anderson in general conference said something like "even if it is little, it is enough" or around that. DO the work and learn to laugh. "ASK and ye shall RECEIVE, SEEK and ye shall FIND, KNOCK and it shall be OPENED unto you." Elder Holland said that "that phrase is reiterated more times than any other scriptural phrase, so do you really believe that God really means it?" All you have to do is ASK your friends, SEEK for the opportunity to have them come to your home to and listen to the missionaries, so you and the missionaries(and the Holy Ghost) can KNOCK on their hearts and help them come unto Christ by OPENING their hearts to RECEIVE the message with which you helped them FIND. I had nothing else to write so I just made that up. It was pretty Cheesy. But it is true. Well good luck and later!

Wednesday, October 8, 2008

Hey!
So general conference was awesome! I so can't wait to see what the Rome temple will look like. It will have to be sweet! Elder Holland's talk about angels was sweet. For a second I thought he was going to share something you normally wouldn't share, and it sounded like everyone else thought so too because not only in the church but in the broadcast the sound went really down as if everyone wanted to hear a pin drop. All the talks were awesome and I can't wait to get the Ensign and reread them. I really liked Elder Christofferson’s. From what I got it seems like something is going to happen after the elections and we need to be prepared(Monson) and that whatever happens the church will not stop rolling forth(Ballard) and that we should share the gospel with humility(Hayes) and that we shouldn't blame the government but be good citizens(Packer). That is just my summary and predictions. Anyways, the shooting experience wasn't freaky and I really never think about it at all. Probably cause I kind-of wish more would have happened, but heck I’m not complaining.
hasta luego!

p.s.- Oh, did you guys see Elder Spencer Johnson in the choir? He was in the MTC choir. I think it was him who I saw. CRAZY! Super lucky!

Wednesday, October 1, 2008

Hey!
So again things have been slow here, not much teaching and a lot of tocando puertas. We really need to thing of something to spark something. I did have one great experience this past week. Mom is going to FREAK OUT! K- so on Saturday, the 27th, one year exactly since I received my mission call,...well let me draw a mental picture for you. Imagine the small intersection where Mendive and the elementary school are, where we go through to get to Daniel Vivas' house. Imagine me riding on my bike as if I was going to Daniel's house and it is around 8 at night and dark. My companion already passed the intersection and I am coming up to it. (So I am going north on the right side of the street). Picture it in a residential area with houses all around and a couple big trees. k- so right when I am about thirty feet away from the intersection a car pulls up to the intersection in the lane as if going to the Mendive library from reed high. ( you also half to keep in mind that I am on a bike and still moving). Right when I am basically to the intersection, a kid on the opposite corner, diagonally from me, drops his bike,(he was stationary), pulls out a gun and starts shooting at the car! The car drives to get away going straight and the kid keeps shooting. I ended up being in the pathway of the firing. With the little momentum that I had I turned up on the sidewalk and coasted down the sidewalk in the direction that I came. I figured it would be better to get shot in the back then the chest, since I did have a backpack as well. But I didn't get hit,..... DANG-IT! I was hoping to find a bullet in my scriptures or something. Since my companion had already gone through the intersection he thought that I was the one that got shot cause he couldn't see me when he looked back as well cause I was on the sidewalk and there was some trees blocking his view. Yah, it was pretty sweet but I feel like I should have dropped the kid after because he just simply/slowly rode away on his bike with his friend, and I know he was out of ammo also cause who wouldn't unload the full thing?

So how is everything there, are you on your way to the hospital, taking mom to emergency care? Hopefully you didn't have a heart-attack. I didn't get the letter yet so I’ll respond to that next week. I can't believe that it is already October! CRAZY! it has really started to get cold and I am truthfully not excited for it. At least no more rain, right! We got drenched again on Monday after helping move some elders from one apartment to another. Right when we finished it started to sprinkle, then when we got on the bikes it down-poured! I'm super stoked for general conference! How's everything holding up there in Nevada? HELP THE MISSIONARIES! Esperemos que las cosas vayan a cambiar pronto! SUERTE!

Hey!
My companion and I have been sick these past couple days and I still feel like crud. It all started by eating some nasty tamales after church and continues on today. I did get the package and I think I also overdosed on sugar as well. it was all good, at first, but then smacked me in the face. Don't worry I’m fine and really thanks for the package. My new bike is SO much better. It doesn't feel so much like an exercise anymore to go to the different places. So we had a good zone conference yesterday and was able to see past people and Jaimito. We are going to the beach again today to play sports, hopefully I feel well enough to dominate everyone. I might have to give them a break for once. lol. It is cool because there are tall buildings right up against the lake and I don't know if I told you already but about a week ago we went to find a less active who lives in one of the tallest ones. After talking with her, I was like "Elder Howard we have to go to the top", he was a little nervous I think but I got him to go so we went up and it was to the roof. It was awesome because it was overlooking the lake and you could see everything. It was sweet. Oh so the other day a crazy white guy started going off about how we are wasting our time and there is no god and everything just came from the great boom or whatever it is called and started going off about how Jesus was just a hallucinatory and began saying some other foul things so I just stopped him and let him have it. I stopped him and straight up said,(a little boldly/fuerte), that Jesus is your savior and redeemer and that everything you are saying is incorrect. I said more and let him have it because I couldn't take it. He was really loud and causing a scene so we just said by and went to our dinner appointment, where we ate the tamales. YUCK! So how was the mini-mission thing? Did they break the rules and teach you? Well things are slow here but I hope all is well there! Later!

Wednesday, September 17, 2008

Hey!
We did have the baptism of Sergio on Saturday, and stake conference on Sunday, so he will be confirmed this Sunday. It was cool at stake conference because I was able to see everyone from the 3rd ward again because I am still in the same stake. We have been getting a lot of rain and there has been a lot of flooding. it was pretty cool to be in it riding around on our bikes being soaking wet and seeing a couple feet of water down streets and parks completely flooded. I’m glad the rain stopped, it helps you realize how grateful you really are for nice weather. It was cool because the rain started before our birthdays but on the 6th(Howard’s b-day) it was nice and on mine it was fine but then everyday after that it was non-stop rain. The whole day non-stop. I’m worried here because the ward is doing some thing were the members have to feed us each night, which I don’t want, so hopefully I won’t gain any weight. I've gained 10 pounds since the beginning of the mission and that is enough. By the way... it's all muscle. Lol Que tengan un bien dia! ADIOS!

Wednesday, September 3, 2008

Hey!
So transfers did come and go already again. I can't believe they go by like a snap of the fingers. So I am.......finally transferred! My new companion is Elder Howard. But guess what, I am still in the city. I am even in the same zone just bumped up north a little to the other district. My area is now Wrigleyville, so Wrigley Field is in my area if you are wondering. I feel things will be great here. He is one of the kind-of quiet ones, kind-of like me, hah. I dont think this is the address for sure but might give you a location mas o menos. 2856 W. Eastwood, area code 60625? I fell like I will be here awhile because my companion has now 4 transfers here with this one, so I’ll stay and who knows what will happen then. So everything is well and will continue to progress and get better. At least I have hope in that. Go to Awful Awful for me, for my birthday to celebrate. Hah Anyways, hope all is well! Later!

Hey! What's Up?
So Edgar, our baptism a few weeks ago was confirmed on Sunday and we had to do it like 3 times! The bishop was the one doing it but had no clue what he was doing basically because he kept on doing it wrong! Interesting but annoying. Already Edgar wants’ to come out with us to other lessons and for his work he hands out flyers, so HE asked for a package of pass-along cards to hand out as well. Yesterday we went to his house and he was telling us recent experiences of how he shut down people that told him he was wrong and he disproved all of their beliefs. We gave him some more scriptures to use and told him other things he could do. He loves finding knew things out and freaked out when we showed him how the bible talks about the Book of Mormon.( 1 Nephi 5, Ezekiel 37, 2 Nephi 3)

"MAKE YOUR FEAR A PASSION!"

Wednesday, August 27, 2008

Hey forgot,
On Monday I about ate it because while riding, my bike FRAME broke. Stupid bike! Don’t worry about it, I think we have some more and Edgar said he was going to give us some as well. He's such a stud! I really do miss by bmx bike and being able to do stuff on it. I miss crashing while trying to do stuff as well. Knock on wood though cause I don’t want to crash here. Only because I dont want to ruin a tie or something. Hah So can you play the "Baptism Humn" yet mom? I played waterfall in an investigators home but it was horrible and their piano sounded like a dying foghorn. Oh and a week ago I ate the best tasting carne asada, and guess what we found out they marinated it in afterwards saying it was the best....Heineken Beer. hah! Oh well, it was pretty good. Yesterday we also ate pig foot. Not joking, I about threw-up all over the table. That texture doesn't belong in your mouth. My companion freaked me out because he knew what it was and wouldn't tell me. All he said was "just eat it". So I ate it thinking I was eating something horrible and about lost my stomach cause of it. If I knew it was just a pig foot it would have been easier I think. It was with our two best investigators, the awesome family that found us on the street. So yah! Later!

Wednesday, August 20, 2008

Hey!
So this weekend was pretty cool. We had Edgar's baptism and everything went well with that and this coming Sunday he will be confirmed, because of the special conference we had. it was awesome to listen to Elder Oaks and a seventy as well, I think Elder Hickson or something like that. They were both awesome talks. Elder Oaks talked about personal revelation and the Holy Ghost, he described how he receives revelation. He talked about a wide variety of things throughout and then focused on the youth at the end. He analyzed the scripture D&C 38:42, and helped the youth understand the importance of being clean. It was neat how he helped them understand that the word "vessels" for the boys mean the sacrament trays and for the girls with the responsibility of child-bearing. "Go ye out from among the wicked". Afterwards we went and shook his hand and he is the most happy, animated, loving guy ever. When he came to me(we went up with Edgar) I introduced him to Edgar and said he was baptized just yesterday and with no delay Elder Oaks did a congratulatory kind-of a "HEH", super excited and just kind-of attacked Edgar with a strong hug. It was pretty funny. He was super awesome and super strong in the spirit. I didn't know, but he was a prosecutor in Chicago and was in the stake presidency in the south stake, back in the day. He told us that the last time he was in this building(stake center) was when President David O. McKay dedicated it about 40 years ago, I think. It was just an over-all great experience. He is super cool.

Wed, 30 April 2008

Hey!

NOT TRANSFERED!! I am pretty happy that I am not being transferred. My companion is staying as well. So the baptism went well. Just the daughter was baptized, something came up so the mother is waiting.

Oh, so last week. The thing that happened. We were down on Madison and Cicero like on Friday, and on Saturday or Sunday I guess there was a huge gun fight down on Madison and Lockwood. So we were still pretty far away from that spot but near it enough to freak you out. The newspaper said 4 were dead and about 23 wounded. It is funny because when ever we go down that way, they all think we are cops or something.

Wed, 23 April 2008

Things have been well. Last week somewhere in our district there was a baptism of a father and two kids, and this week there is a baptism of a man tomorrow, and we have a baptism of a woman and her daughter. It will be great. Their other daughter wasn't sure if she wanted to be baptized yet so they are giving her more time.

We had a great surprise on Sunday because Juana Soto finally came to church! We have been trying to get her to come for forever and because she wasn't coming we were going to drop her, which we didn't want to do because she knows the things are true and reads the Book of Mormon to her kids, but it was mainly because of work. But she finally came so I hope things will continue to progress with her.

A few days ago we walked by a Hispanic in handcuffs talking to some police and I heard the police say, “You don't know how to spell your last name? If you don't know how to spell your last name than you're going to jail, so you better learn quick!" It was pretty hilarious.

It is SO diverse and a lot of interesting people. Chicago, Chicago,..... WOW!

Later!

Que Les Vaya Bien!

Hey really quick. Here is a quote I liked from conference. I don’t think I remembered it correctly but it was something like this: “The laughter of the world is [evil] trying to reassure itself!" - Elder W. Craig Zwick(I just don’t remember if it said evil or another word), just thought it was great.

Wed, 16 April 2008

Hey!

This transfer has flown by so fast! I finally met someone from Costa Rica! It was some person that a member wanted to visit. I'm not sure if she is a member or not. She had a picture on the wall that just said "COSTA RICA... es pura vida." It was awesome! It was weird because for some reason it just felt like Costa Rica in their house and she just talked and seemed like Costa Rica. It really felt like I was there for a little while.

We had exchanges the past Friday and they partnered up the two MTC companions, Elder Hickman and I. It was an awesome experience and great to really feel the excitement of being in charge. It was nice to plan everything to do.

Also on Tuesday I woke up to something new. I heard a pounding on the door next to us and they were the police. They were saying open up and stuff. I could hear them talking and they asked them if they knew who lived next door (us) and the guy said "some Mormons" and the police in a questioning, stunned reply said back “Mormons". It was pretty funny. But they came to the door and showed me some mug shots of some dudes and asked me if I had seen them. I felt a little weird because I was in my pajamas, early morning look face and everything, but what was weird was when they asked who I was I didn't think and said "Elder" Smith and extended my hand to shake his. (I don’t remember if we shook hands or not though, I wasn't even thinking, it kind-of just happened) I'm pretty sure we did. It was something different to start the day. My companion comes out of the shower and asked who that was and what it was about. Pretty funny.

Hey!

GENERAL CONFERENCED ROCKED!! The talks were amazing and to the point everything sounds more powerful and great when your a missionary. Elder Bednar's talk was sweet. Let's hope that woke people up. Elder Holland is a beast! When he first got up and said that he was going to do something like he did with the doctrine of the Godhead, all of us got so excited and ready to hear his bold statements. This is definitely a conference i will never forget, like President Monson said. A bunch of wierd things took place also, small random things but neat. Elder Nelson talked about D&C 121 and Elder Rasband talked about Liberty Jail, but that mornig i read those chapters without knowing cause i am just reading through D&C. The same thing happened on the 3rd of April because without knowing the date before hand i read section 110 on the 3rd and that was the same day Christ and other prophets appeared in the temple from section 110. Then on sunday Elder Packer talked about D&C 124 and i read that sunday morning. It was weird to see how the days and reading schedule i had happened to be on the same days. It was pretty cool. It was like the speakers all took their topics from about those ten or so sections in D&C. More is that we had Elder Rasband in the MTC, Elder Wickman, and Elder Christofferson. My companion and i did a little guessing and picking who was going to be the next apostle and i was going to pick Christofferson but i picked Anderson instead whose picture is next to his on the full name chart thing. I knew i should have picked him. Elder L.Tom Perry is awsome and always talks about missionary work. I love his voice and the way he talks. It was crazy to see him and know that i shook his hand, CRAZY!! Oh, and the Kenneth Johnson guy is a older Harry Potter.

Wed, 02 April 2008

Hey!

Yah it is true. I only could write to Brian to tell him about it, and told him to send it to everyone else that that had happened. That was DANG good Brian! I wish i could have seen moms face. Honestly it would be pretty sweet if something like that happened, only if i could go back into Chicago. I wouldn't want to stay in South Dakota.

The weather here has been almost exactly like Costa Rica. I kind-of go into a little Costa Rica depression when i step outside. Costa Rica is amazing and will probably be my favorite place ever.

I remember one saying that Elder Oaks said in the WWLT Broadcast that was pretty funny. It was about the song "Love at Home", and he said: "Sometimes that song is sung through clinched teeth!". It was hilarious.
